Even after finishing a PhD, the advise still resonated.

As an Editor, my advise: read A LOT🤓.

You don't need to reinvent the wheel to write a good paper... but you definitely need to slow down & think. Reading helps you contextualize findings, make good experimental plans & explain your science.

Slaying the pre-TCR beast

T-ALL is notoriously hard to treat due to the difficulty in distinguishing normal and malignant T cells. Now Fuentes et al. identify the pre-TCR as a biomarker for leukemia-initiating cells and develop a targeted immunotherapy for it.

They emphasize the utility of non-covalent surface modifications for improving stealth and targeting abilities of nanoparticles for cancer.

I previously volunteered w men returning from prison, where I saw how often adolescent hardships shaped their paths. Incarceration should not make someone undeserving of care & denying medical treatment reflects societal bias + ignorance.
