I am very happy to finally get to beat Shu's ass though. He WAY had it coming for being a shitty Nice Guy and drugging Hinako when he found out about the grooming.

Hinako, the main character of Silent Hill f, is held from behind by her older sister Junko. Hinako's uniform is in tatters, she's bleeding from multiple injuries, and she looks mentally and physically exhausted. Junko is wearing a scary tengu mask, has gray skin with old injuries so she looks undead, and has black claws on the ends of her fingers.

well that was entirely unreasonable as a challenge! I feel very satisfied having pulled it off and definitely do not recommend anyone else do it lmao. It's actually pretty fun for a lot of it but some of the enemies, especially the Pregnancy monster and the final bosses, are too much

Hinako's mother: "Hinako always enjoyed playing with both girls and boys since she was little." Teenage Hinako, reflecting on the flashback: "Why do children draw such hard lines between genders?"

There's a lesbian kiss game over screen for the first boss fight if you die to her grab attack. She actually says "now we can be together forever" as the game over screen appears after she eats Hinako's face
A monstrous zombie shrine maiden saint version of the main character Hinako's best friend who's in love with her, Sakuko. A particular feature of Sakuko's zombified monster appearance is that she barely has a lower jaw, with her mouth instead hanging down low in what's ambiguously a gaping maw or a torn out throat. In this moment, she's defeated the main character with a grab attack, which presses Hinako's face into that open maw/torn out throat. Some blood spurts out to the side, although Hinako's back is to the camera so what's done is left mostly up to the imagination. As the screen fades to a game over prompt, Monster Sakuko says "now, we can be together forever! Ahahaha!"

Picking back up Silent Hill f, somehow I never noticed the game's content warning at the start before now. It's an interesting one imo. and the mention of drug-induced hallucinations is kind of a spoiler, as that's only something even implied fairly late in your first playthrough.

Plus there's the issue compounding this that Bluesky's third party image recognition algorithm is very dumb. I posted this page from the manga Otherside Picnic last year and it flagged it as "sexually suggestive". It's just two people in sleeping bags camping lol.

Having settings hidden under clicking "moderation services" is a terrible UI choice before we get to what's in those settings. But the "sexually suggestive cartoon" is definitely the weirdest thing in there. What do we possibly gain by having this extra setting hidden nested deeper than the rest

Adult Content, Sexually Suggestive, and Non-sexual Nudity are all in the top-level "moderation settings" that's relatively easy for new users to find. But under those is "Sexually Suggestive (Cartoon)," a baffling category that is, bafflingly, hidden in an extra menu that's much less visible to new users unless they click on literally everything.

Beat Silent Hill f and got the first ending, and almost immediately jumped back in for NG+ to see the other endings. I started that run off on the wrong foot however, by making these choices at the start lol. "Lost in the Fog" is probably too hard to be fun for both action and puzzle.
The New Game+ start menu for Silent Hill f, which allows changing the difficulty settings for "Action" (the difficulty of survival and combat mechanics) and Puzzles (how obscure, indirect, and difficult the problems you have to overcome might be). I have set both to their highest option available, called "Lost in the Fog".

Silent Hill f is fantastic so far. And definitely lends itself to a transmasc reading.
A note found in a middle school that says "I've always despised her! She goes around pretending like she doesn't want to be a girl, when she knows full well that she's so much cuter than everyone else. She makes me sick!" This was likely written by the character Rinko, who's very obviously in love with and very jealous of our "tomboy" main character Hinako, who has zero interest in boys and zero interest in basically anything traditionally feminine.

I haven't seen all of Silent Hill f yet, but this monster and its description in the protagonist's journal is basically all the proof I need to know this girl is not straight.
A monster made up of two humanoid figures fused back to back, a smaller one on the bottom propping up a larger feminine one that is covered with lumps that are ambiguously breasts or sores or pregnant bellies that constantly give birth to more monstrosities. The protagonist describes the monster this way: "A monster covered in swollen, skin-crawling mounds. As each one pulses, it spawns more and more horrors. What a vile show of life. I'd rather die than be turned into a monster like this."

It's just been so weird to see behavior I associate with older men and religious fundamentalists be adopted by supposedly progressive guys younger than me. This was literally just yesterday and it's what got me thinking about it.
A man, whose profile and username implies he's a progressive American man who is an ally to women, bandwagons on criticism of a reporter who went after a woman facing criminal charges for not answering questions about those charges in public to criticize the reporter for wearing a completely normal professional top because there's a bit of cleavage in the image, something you probably didn't even notice until he pointed it out.

Somebody help me figure out what's tanking my performance in STALKER 2, please? I can't figure out what could be limiting my framerate when my CPU, GPU, RAM, VRAM, and temperature all have plenty of unused overhead. Vsync is off, the game is full screen, and all the settings are minimum.
