Will have the effect of reinforcing people’s belief that our institutions are more responsive to to one group (Jews) than other groups. The trope of Jewish people controlling the government to ignore popular will is classic antisemitism. But it’s hard for me to see how this won’t fuel that notion.

So if you are concerned about antisemitism like I am, the sight of Jewish individuals leveraging resources to get preferrable treatment (no one has gotten a million dollar settlement for crackdowns on pro-Palestinian speech as far as I know), at a time when popular support for Israel has crashed…

Did someone at the encampments say or do some questionable stuff at some point? Sure. But they did not block access to campus buildings - campus security did. The pro-Palestinian protestors were also brutalized, first by masked thugs, then by the police. Encampment students were disciplined. 2/
