I am sitting in a Railway Station,
Got a ticket for my destination...

Let's hope this journey is better than the last time I used this route.

10/10 to our Business Support Team for split ticketing to reduce cost but minus several thousand for only reserving a seat for the 1st part of the journey.

#GPredict indicates that there is one further #ISS pass over my QTH this evening but it will be a very low angle so unlikely to be that successful

On the last pass at 1620 UTC I managed this decode, not as good as the previous 2 passes but still identifiable
October 4, 2025 at 5:18 PM
Another pass in the Series 29 #SSTV from the #ISS and a single good image from the 14:40 UTC pass over my QTH
October 4, 2025 at 2:53 PM
Series 29 #SSTV activity period from the #ISS is in full swing

My commitments mean that I'm not going to get a lot of these this time, but I have managed a couple on the 13:08 UTC pass over my QTH

The first lost lock and had to be reassembled but the second towards the end of the pass was good

It's the Torbay Radio Rally today and your friendly #RSGB volunteer regional team are in attendance so please drop by to say hi

Oh and let @m1acb.bsky.social know we really are working hard and not just getting bacon rolls

Somebody please key @m1acb.bsky.social know that members of the #RSGB Region 11 Volunteer Regional Team are in action today at the Flight Refuelling Hamfest at Wimborne

This morning (Sunday 27/07/2023) I have donned my "blue shirt" and joined Simon G4WQG (RR10) at the Chippenham Rally where things are in full swing @m1acb.bsky.social

At the temporary QTH the @arissintl.bsky.social #SSTV activity period from the #ISS is already over

So this is my final post on the subject for this activity period

Here is my final "state of the nation"

Today I have donned my "blue shirt" @m1acb.bsky.social and joined Sidmouth Amateur Radio Club at their Open Day

Benefitting from their own Clubhouse with permanent HF and VHF shacks they are promoting Amateur Radio and their Club

There are a few demonstrations including my own SSTV
July 20, 2025 at 11:53 AM
1 more pass in this block in the early hours of Sunday morning and, if I'm lucky and can get back from Sidmouth ARC open day, possibly 1 late afternoon/early evening pass left

Neither pass is particulary high elevation so I'm not expecting any improvements or new images

It's raining in IO80EO
July 19, 2025 at 10:12 PM
Still working the @arissintl.bsky.social #SSTV transmissions from the #ISS

Unlikely to get the set of 12 as I'm missing Images 6 and 7

Got my best Image 3 on the 18:22 UTC pass over IO80EO

Full cloud cover with onset of rain. No disernable cloud related QRN so earlier diagnosis might be invalid

The "state of the nation" as far as #SSTV images from the #ISS in @arissintl.bsky.social Series 28

The final passes in the activity period for me are tonight (19/07/2025)

Final pass this evening, around 12 degrees max elevation

My new temp QTH is quieter in RF terms than my main QTH. Looking back at Image 9/12 from my previous post I noticed that each interference band coincided with the #ISS going behind clouds

By the time of Image 8/12 cloud had covered the sky
July 19, 2025 at 12:18 AM
The last couple of days have been chaotic

I've lost track of #ISS passes and #SSTV posts

To catchup:
10/12 at 19:09:01 UTC over IO81OK
11/12 at 19:13:07 UTC over IO81OK, probably my best so far, and yes that's 2 good images from 1 pass
9/12 at 22:24:03 UTC over IO80EO, yes a different location
July 18, 2025 at 11:44 PM
At half way through the total passes this is the state of play

Another new image

It's a bit like buses, you wait 15 passes and then two come along together

Pity I lost sync due to local noise and had to reassemble the separate parts of the image into one
July 17, 2025 at 12:13 AM
Yay!! Finally a new image and in reasonably good order too.

...4/4

And finally I got this on the 87deg 20:42 pass

@arissintl.bsky.social something has to be done about the combination of orbital time, transmit time, cool down time and number of images

There's no chance of a full set given the amount of repeated images I and others are seeing
July 16, 2025 at 9:12 PM
...3/4

And this was received on the 44deg 19:06 pass over IO81OK when the students were watcing the shared screen via JITSI

Yes, once again a bit of a sync problem with yet another copy of image 2

3/4...
July 16, 2025 at 9:09 PM
...2/4

I then had to send out the presentation slides and revision/homework as well as include some instruction on how to receive SSTV using a handheld or Goonhilly

So in quick succession here is a capture from the 17deg 18:19 UTC pass over IO81OK

2/4...

This is an improvement. At last I managed a complete card. the Autoslant correction still struggled but other than that the image is basically clean and whole
