I’ve been literally agonizing over this lately it’s so stressful because I feel like real threats to children’s safety are being overlooked in favor of blind rage towards the Concept of pedophiles . does that make sense

I can’t even really get into it here because the character limit is so small. but there’s something about the way that .. pedophiles are the one type of person it’s socially acceptable to wish death upon & and how thats used rhetorically on the internet that I have a lot of thoughts about

I’ve been wanting So Bad to make a mini video essay about the way pedophilia is purposefully misunderstood and accusations of it are used as a weapon because of its shock value. but i work with children and the risk of being labeled as a “pedo apologist” is too high & I fear the consequences
