This morning we said goodbye to my baby, Himeko 姫子

For 14 and a half years I gave her a life where she was always happy, healthy, and strong. Even at age 13 she could jump three feet up into our bed. She loved carrots and apples and salmon. She could perform tricks to English and Japanese commands.

Likely canceling holiday plans with partner's family to stay home and take care of her since she's in no condition to travel. Really angry with the "care" she received from her vet visit last week as her symptoms all point to the infection she diagnosed still being present...
