For future reference, if you need more RAM:
Use a tool like HWINFO to look at the DDR specification of the memory, DDR3, 4, 5 whatever, and get some more of the same spec, DDR3 cant go in a 4 slot, 4 cant go in a 5 slot, and vise versa :3

Try fliping where the RAM is, both in black rather than grey

Notttt just yet, theres some basic trouble shooting to do with no solid info, when you removed the RAM from the desktop, did you remove all of it or just what you took out of the laptop?

RAM isnt needed for the RGB and stuff to light up but is absolutely needed to boot
