It is not about halting technological innovation. It is about acknowledging the humanity that literally fueled its rise. It is about the wholesale theft of those most vulnerable amongst us to enrich the already powerful.

Rewatching Star Wars Skeleton Crew. S1E2.
1) Cool! Steve Urkel! A Space Pirate!
2) Love when they showcase ANY Force User that isn't: A Jedi. A Sith. "Jedi" is like the "Bandaid" of Force Users. Someone Force Pulls something and they're an auto Jedi. We need more Force Users who are Other Things.

Been seeing this going around. ABSOLUTELY ask what your country can do for you. That's the point of Government. To Serve the People. You should always be asking what your country is doing for you. It's purpose is to provide services and safety nets for all.

We have a problem of conflating Wealth as Value. As if the wealthy earned their privileged positions. As if we've never had kings, or tyrants. As if they figured anything out other than exploiting others to a degree most of us have the human decency to shun. As if Billionaires aren't psychopaths.

Tears of Metal is if Dynasty Warriors was Scottish, with a slash of Rock, and Roguelite. After playing the One Piece Dragon Warriors, I'm appreciating this for having a bit more strategy inherent in it. Free to try the alpha this weekend. Bring a friend.

It was 9/11, for me. Why I look at this with distaste. Suddenly there were flags everywhere. And they were flown for one of two reasons. Out of fear, or Ignorance.

Fear that you'd be targeted as an other if you didn't.

Ignorance of what the flag stood for and what actions it needed to be honored.

It's going to take all us to keep this country safe. From the cops. These Gustapo thugs need to know we don't like them, we don't support them, and we're filming their masked thug asses

Rewatching Mando/Book of Boba. S1E3 of Book. Man... this is really good storytelling, and great character development. This is good Star Wars. My 3rd rewatch and I'll say that, my previous gripes have been that Robert Rodriguez just went full "Once Upon A Time in Mos Espa", which hurt the vibe.

I'm all for robots taking all of our jobs. But I'm also all for every human being's basic needs being met. That's food, water, shelter, healthcare, and education.

It is not that you shouldn't pray, if you are so inclined. It is that you are unwilling to give anything more of yourself for a cause, a belief, or a need.

“There is something deeply hypocritical about praying for a problem you are unwilling to resolve.”

Well... we got into it again over Pulaski.

There are characters I have weaknesses for and Pulaski is certainly one of them. So I went back to some episodes/scripts and found this example of Pulaski, near the end of her arc,

A conversation reminded of one of the most controversial topics in trek. Tuvix. So I went back to a meme I made on the topic:

Voyager. S1E5: The Phage. Got to this line and I was like, "Ok. Let's see what happens in like 30 more episodes that changes this."

I'm not saying, I'm just saying.

I <3 the Logic here:

"When electricity prices are high or supply is straining [...]miners can reduce their energy use [...] so if a miner stops using electricity, it’s the equivalent of a power plant producing extra electricity that could assist in meeting grid demand and help with grid stability."

ProTip: If you're ever asked to do self-eval before your actual eval: give yourself top scores and justify it. It may feel hard to find reasoning to justify a perfect score for yourself but, take a deep breath, think about all the things you did that you didn't have to, and make those your reasons.
