IDK much about ATLA but my friends talk about it as long as I can remember, and in those talks, I can hardly recall this sort of talk about power being particularly salient, like, at all. It was all character development, worldbuilding, etc.

Like, I think Digest is a size that does indeed veer into the advantages of portability VS having art be less prominent or getting less mileage out of detailed pieces, but then when comparing Zephyr size, which is cheaper and more portable, VS US Letter, really the art doesn't suffer at all it feels
