QR codes are displayed in towns across Kharkiv Oblast, a heavily contaminated area where residents have already returned.

This project is unique for its use of #technology and its community-led approach — signs are placed in consultation with #residents to ensure visibility.

📱 QR Codes for Safer Communities in #Ukraine

FSD is testing new ways to keep mine affected communities #safe by integrating QR codes into #mine hazard warning signs. These codes help users understand the borders of hazardous areas and access safety information on #explosive ordnance.

Before work begins, the ground is carefully prepared to ensure it’s safe. If any tripwires or hazards are present, dogs won't be put to work there.

FSD minimises risks like heat or fatigue through training, teamwork, & strict safety standards — protecting both dogs and handlers.

In Rasht, #Tajikistan, FSD teams provide risk #education to help families stay #safe.

The region is heavily contaminated with submunitions — small explosive devices that can look like harmless toys or balls, making them especially #dangerous for #children.

🦍🐆🦌 When conflict hit Kharkiv, #Ukraine, in 2022, the Feldman Ecopark was badly damaged.
