I agree. There are a lot of things that need to change. I wrote up a python script to calculate the math, bc it gets a little complicated. The main thing to know is that rather than one rep for millions it would be one rep per 40-50k so folks in populated states would have better representation.

Ranked choice is great too but it's still broken because you are just ranking choice for what the electoral college votes for. This gives each state a more accurate representation of the number of votes each state gets.

The electoral college is made up by combining the number of house reps + senate for each state. What you are looking at is a calculation of how many reps each state would have if it was ratified based on the current census data.

If maddison's first amendment was ratified back when it was proposed we would have a more representative democracy because states with greater population would have much more votes. As they would have more representatives to represent the population.
