Jeff Bezos paid $50 million for a wedding. He just got a $16 billion tax break. He just laid off 60,000 people.

And you're furious about a kid getting a free school lunch?

Remember when some guy killed a far right provocateur and every major right wing presence was calling for the Democratic Party to be labeled a terrorist organization and disbanded? If you are asking for less to be done to the party that doubles as a sex trafficking ring you are unequal to the moment

The fight for healthcare right now can’t end with ACA subsidies. It HAS TO BE bigger. Too many Americans are suffering over medical debt and spiraling costs.

It should be nothing short of Medicare for All.

Bring on the Progressives. Boot out the establishment.

I am so sick of them.

There has to be something better. Has to be. Can't stay like this.
Yes, I am spun out with rage.
My last drop of optimism was just flushed down the toilet by the party that keeps insisting it is fighting for us.
I know there are a small number of individual Dems who are fighting the good fight, but the "Party" has shamelessly abandoned its voters.

And what better way to get them to work with democrats than by caving and giving them exactly what they wanted.

Brilliant!
Shaheen: "All those people who oppose this agreement -- staying in a shutdown mode was not getting us anywhere. They need to train their fire on the people who are responsible. That's Trump, Johnson, & the Republicans who have blocked every attempt to get healthcare. We need to be working together."

I have no earthly idea why anyone with a D next to their name would want to give this government of losers and lawbreakers an out from the mess they themselves created while they're being ground into dust by public opinion, having fully failed to make this anything but their own fault.

More lies and failed promises from politicians who could care less about working class people. Senate Dems caved and accomplished nothing. Washington is a broken machine designed for the rich and powerful. It's time we kick it over and break it, starting with Chuck Schumer.

Democrats have to stop bailing out Republicans from facing the consequences of their own policies. And yeah, that means they have to stop sparing voters from experiencing what GOP government truly means.

Every time Dems step in, it only emboldens the GOP & they make it even worse the next time.
So Democrats get:

1. A CR that will prevent the GOP from facing the wrath of Americans for a shutdown over the holidays

2. A coupon for one (1) meaningless ACA vote that will fail

3. An end to the illegal RIF/SNAP moves that are already before the courts

Those all seem like wins for the GOP.

The Democratic Party is historically unpopular with its own voters.

Caving to Trump and getting nothing in return will only bring these numbers down further.

It’s a historic failure—and an opportunity to push for changes to the electoral system.
Democratic Party hits lowest approval in over 30 years: Poll
The only policy areas where Democrats outperform Republicans in the new poll from the Wall Street Journal are health care and vaccine policy.

This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

Chuck Schumer Helps Pull Democrats Back From Brink Of Courage
November 10, 2025 at 5:02 AM
Yup. This right here. 👇👇👇
Just spent 40 days falling behind on all my bills, thinking it would be worth it because Trump would be politically crippled and restrained moving forward. Instead, our leadership has empowered him even more and effectively ended the ACA.

No Dem who supports Schumer as leader gets my support again.

Ashamed to be a registered Democrat this morning.

Cannot fathom the cowardice of those who have already announced their retirement voting for this.

If your not gonna go out swinging, then just go out. Now.
How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.
November 10, 2025 at 12:18 PM
Staggeringly stupid level of political own-goal here.

A leadership failure that will be written about in history books for generations.
Great job, @schumer.senate.gov. You've changed the story from "GOP hurting millions of Americans to please unpopular, failing, delusional despot who's destroying his party" to "Dems are too weak and divided in the face of Trump's strength to take a stand and protect Americans"
