Had a colleague in the UK who, at the height of the campaign to get hours down to a mere 72 each week, used to have a bumper sticker saying “Shh, junior doctor asleep at the wheel”

Doctors in Australia can graduate from medical school, and even pass professional paediatrics exams, without ever being taught to perform, or be examined on their competence in, pGALS or other MSK examination. Hardly surprising they don’t spot the signs and do useless blood tests instead.

She’s technically right though isn’t she? As Home Secretary she does not decide who should be arrested - that is up to the police and is why we separate the police and judiciary from the government. We rightly gave grief to the Tories when they failed to make that distinction.
