It's all part of the masking, you feel like you should be doing more to match your peers. It's simply not the case, you need recovery time which might change in volume all depending on the tasks or amount of social interactions. I notice when I'm comfortable around people, it's lesser on my system.

I understand completely,it sucks. If I know an event with a lot of people or even going shopping can take a lot out of me. So whatever recovery time I need, I can acknowledge why I need it and be less hard on myself. Doesn't stop from making me feel weird, but logically I can make sense of it.
