"Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching."
King Hereafter did that for me.

I read it in the early 80s, as a teenager, and it has shaped how I read books, what sort of history I'm interested in, and probably a lot of how I think.

Absolutely.

And like you, my main thought about the whole mess is what a disappointment of a missed opportunity. And from what I've gathered, the research and filming was done to make an excellent informed interesting programme but it's all ended up cut out and dumbed down.

It's the tension with moss stitch - it's supposed to be just as snug as the stocking stitch it's often used as an edging for, but it usually knits up too loose and floppy if people aren't aware of this propensity.

And yes, the show should have said this, rather than just saying it's hard

And for handspinners, Adelaide Walker have been doing an excellent fibre #AdventCalender for a few years now. I did their #TourdeFleece one in the summer.

We've had the Courtyard Dairy's #Cheese #AdventCalendar for the past two years, and it's been glorious. Complete with tasting notes and enough for two people for each portion (if you can bear to share.)
