It sounds so bad in the Rites!’ Although said in jest, it prompted Leila to ask Gwen for help with her dialect: ‘Will you tell me when I sy anything in Austreyelian?’”

today in “Perdurabo” i read about how Rose Edith Kelly, before she married Crowley, once asked her parents for £40 for an abortion, but actually just wanted the money for dinner and some new clothes. and everyone i tell this story to is immediately “queen!” and “i love her!”

oh and the author of this biography has essentially gone on to say that the ensuing romance was grooming of aleister crowley. how original.
further text from “Perdurabo”, where the author essentially implies that a “tremendously naive” Crowley was manipulated into the relationship with Pollitt because he was an “easy, if not willing, conquest.”

an excerpt from page 37 of the revised edition of “Perdurabo” by Richard Kaczynski, a detailed biography of Aleister Crowley. the except details Crowley’s first crush on what history has assumed to be a man, Herbert Charles Pollitt, who apparently “wowed audiences as a female impersonator”. i have my suspicions that Pollitt may well have been an egg hiding in plain sight lol
