We are now further away from the theatrical release of Raiders of the Lost Ark (June 12, 1981) than it was from the year it takes place in (1936). We have reached the Indiana Jones event horizon.

Story time: Once upon a time in Ghent GF and I adopted a cat with sensitive stomach. To make sure he always gets the right amount of food daily and evenly distributed over the day, we decide to buy an automatic pet feeder. We decide on a feeding schedule and I set it up and program it. 1/6

📣 Germany's close to reversing its opposition to mass surveillance & private message scanning, & backing the Chat Control bill. This could end private comms-& Signal-in the EU.

Time's short and they're counting on obscurity: please let German politicians know how horrifying their reversal would be.
We are alarmed by reports that Germany is on the verge of a catastrophic about-face, reversing its longstanding and principled opposition to the EU’s Chat Control proposal which, if passed, could spell the end of the right to privacy in Europe. signal.org/blog/pdfs/ge...

Just read in a paper "we use a Mamba-like model to do X" and for a second I'm like: what is Mamba again? Then I remembered. 2023 feels like a million years ago in AI.

6. “Elections are won from the centre” is a mantra used to try to block challenges from the left. It says “you can’t win if you want to change the system”. It ignores the fact that first the neoliberals and now the far right have completely transformed – in some respects replaced - the system.

Currently watching season 2 of Dandadan on Netflix and discovered this banger.
Not that that means anything but this is hands-down the best power metal song I ever heard.

We introduce PuzzleJAX, a benchmark for reasoning and learning. 🧩💡🦎

PuzzleJAX compiles hundreds of existing grid-based PuzzleScript games to hardware-accelerated JAX environments, and allows researchers to define new tasks via PuzzleScript's concise rewrite rule-based DSL.
