Today the Y10 Hospitality and Catering students were given a great opportunity thanks to #HeroesFish and #DFDS who supplied us with mussels free of charge🙏
These were turned into Thai style mussels in class🥘
Most students had not tried them before, but looked to enjoy having a go at cooking them😋

This morning Y11 students have been busy plaiting Danish Christmas heart biscuits. The general consensus was that the paper ones were easier to make than the biscuit ones 👏🏼

This weekend, Mr Peirson joined the Mayor of Normanton along with Civic dignitaries and the local community to lay a wreath on behalf of the academy at Normanton cenotaph to honour and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country 🌹

This summer, students across the #OutwoodFamily delivered almost 100 community projects across their local areas through the #OutThere programme! 💜
They told us they wanted to contribute to communities and change misconceptions about young people - and that's what they did! 🤩
