I don’t want to hear TrumpCo say one goddamn word about alleged antisemitism in universities. Not while the DHS is tweeting references to a book by an antisemitic white supremacist.

It’s Pride Month, and to celebrate, Fox News personality Pete Hegseth ordered the Secretary of the Navy to strip the USNS Harvey Milk of its name.

This juvenile and vindictive act was done intentionally during Pride Month, just par for the course in the Trumpocalypse now.

45 years ago the Simon & Bard Group was staying near Fairview, Oregon, and our drummer called us and said “Go outside and look north.” Indeed.

Gigs cancelled per the “act of God” clause in our contracts. And for the rest of that tour we navigated a landscape transformed into volcanic winter.

I am a degenerate artist against fascism. In the name of humanity, we refuse to accept a fascist America.

Above all else, it’s important to show up. Our numbers will have to grow, and the actions need to be persistent. Hope dies last.

April 5th was a good start, but we need to keep showing up, and in greater numbers.
