My family decided on code words: yellow alert means I am not doing well so please don't poke the bear, red alert means I am at the edge of the cliff please watch me carefully. Maybe something like this would help you communicate your status without the long explanation bit?

So yes, we need a provincial plan to address the complex needs of many ALC pts, but building more for-profit private delivered continuing care is NOT going to help with this pt population. Minister Nixon and the govt are very aware of this! 9/13

Actual concerns raised: Privatized delivery will just drive our critically short workforce out of the hospital (fact), while there are empty ORs in a lot of our major hospitals (fact), and CHAOS in the current system that needs to be addressed (fact). 2/13
