Back in the golden age of academic Twitter I used to say I'd never be a vanilla online academic who posted 'excited to be at a conference' every 6 months. I would live & die as a shitpost goblin. Look at me now: posting that I'm excited to be in London for this year's SFPS conference on Fanon at 100

No matter how long I live in England, and how much I genuinely like the places I live, I'll never see Edinburgh on one of these boards and not feel like that's where I should be going

6 years (!!!) today since this poster dropped. Remember looking at it and thinking the guy looked kind of skinny. What wasn't apparent is that he's about 9 feet tall and I ended up looking like Scrappy Doo on the night. What a world. Can confirm this is still how I look, no I won't prove it
