Herps out there, I need help identifying a #lizard. My brother who works on a farm sent me this video, and this screenshot you're seeing is the best way you can see the lizard. It looks like an agamid, but I'm not sure.

It's lovely when you have neighbours who sing every morning.

There's something beautiful about a wetland covered in a blanket of fog.

My feathered neighbour came to grace me with its presence this morning.

I caught a Yanma pokémon!
Actually, it's just a normal but really cool dragon. These small living helicopters can move in any direction when their in the air, beating their wings around 30 times per second. This one was safely released outdoors.

Shut the front door!

Last night, I found the biggest Strongylopus grayii I've ever seen.

I had to take a quick shot of it because my cousin was keeping the cat from getting out of the front door. So, yeah. Pun intended. 🐸

Do you think that some non-avian dinosaurs mated for life?

It appears baleen whales have developed a new method of communicating without giving themselves away to predators. Orcas struggle to pick up sounds lower than 100 hertz and baleen whales have learned to use ultra-low frequency sounds that makes it difficult for them to be tracked by predators.

Forgive me Paleo/Jurassic community but I'm just not that excited for Rebirth. Maybe I'm just tired of the franchise, I don't know. On the other hand, I'm super excited for Fantastic Four: First Steps. Everything from what I've seen in the first trailer looks, well, fantastic!

Yesterday, I received the most adorable gift from WWF. A Cape Penguin with a lovely Thank You card for donating to this little bird. This penguin species has been through a lot before they became one of the most endangered bird species in the world. These little guys need our help and conservation.

We have our first look at 2025's Walking With Dinosaurs!

Check out the link below. It will be a six-part series where each episode will focus on an individual dinosaur that is promised to be filled with drama while we get to see how these animals lived.

The new charcarodontosaurid Tameryraptor markgrafi. I was excited about the newly identified giant carnivore from the Bahariya Formation that I wanted to sketch it. I need to sketch more if I want to get better at it.

There's a raptor in my backyard!

I actually took these pictures yesterday, but my computer at home wouldn't transfer them from my camera. I waited over the weekend to transfer the pictures to a computer at work.

A pigeon with a band landed in my backyard, and it didn't appear to be frightened by people.

But of all the places it could've landed, it picked my backyard that is inhabited by a family of raptors.

Fortunately, with help from my father, the pigeon was caught and safely put in a bird cage.

Spectacled bears look like how I imagine the extinct giant short-faced bear in life. That's because it is a short-faced bear, also known as the Andean short-faced bear, from the same subfamily of bears as the extinct Arctodus simus, known as Tremarctinae.

Yeah! Everything that's been happening with X, I thought I should make a relocating account here. I also found this little frog (Strongylopus grayii) inside my house. I released outside just before I found the spider.
