According to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission database, 81 members of 6th Battalion Royal Welch Fusiliers died between the date of this recording and the end of the Second World War in Europe. So some of the voices captured here may be those of men later killed.

No survivors leave joined Duncan in all he possesed (shirt & shorts) Capt(D) took one look & said "Snottie where is your cap?". Duncan had seen real no action - fortunate quick transfer to battle-hardened Griffin which was far more welcoming
