Yep. Even maintaining an internal API to exchange data between 2 of your own products is hard enough and can slow things down with the need to co-ordinate releases.

To some extent, interoperability via standards is also incompatible with agile, as it’s much slower to make changes?

Which is probably fine for relatively simple, well-defined domains like banking, but much harder for nebulous ever-changing domains like health?
