I worried that I’d put all our shanty gigs too close together and we wouldn’t be able to sell tickets. Instead, tonight’s Golden Hinde gig is sold out and the other three shows have had good sales.
I think we’re selling well because we encourage people to sing, dance and dress up. Community is key.

It’s nice being remembered fondly. I still get asked if I’m going to Dragoncon, when I haven’t been since 2013. I hope everyone going this year has a wonderful time!

I’m deep in my personal thoughts and grief this morning. A very dear American friend of mine died last year and I didn’t go over to be with the family because I had no money and didn’t want them to know that. I regret not going. With the political climate, It may be years before I’m in the US again.

By complete coincidence and in two different job roles, I am working closely with two of my favourite artists over the next two weeks. I can’t yet say more, but I am freaking out and will revisit this when I am allowed to.

My flatmate came home upset, so I gave her chocolate and a sword and she’s now gleefully happy. I don’t think I’m getting the sword back any time though.

Genuine question. Why isn’t the patron saint of England St Edmund? The official denomination of Christianity is CoE and he died a martyr of it. Surely this makes more sense than old St Giorgios?

I couldn’t have asked for a better international drag debut than Helsinki Drag Fest. It was amazing meeting so many artists from different countries, including this Spanish/Newcastle riot. ❤️
