A search for famous self-published authors ended up with the results below. Yet, there is no such thing as a consistently self-published author or poet considered famous, meaning they are not identified as famous or successful while still self-publishing, but after being traditionally published.

I saw this on LinkedIn as advertising for AI writing software. It included "Write more and write better". It is annoying for ANYONE to tell me to write more and write better, like that is something that never occurred to me.

I am going to say this as politely as possible: I could care less what publishers and so-called experts say about would, could, may, or can sell. Why? That is not why I write. This is the reason I am not welcomed to discussions about writing and publishing since I push against the narrative.
