No, it's quite the opposite

Labour is too frightened *not* to talk about immigration and to switch the agenda instead because it has no response for the many real crises facing us

Immigration is a useful diversion for some and an obsession for reactionaries in its ranks

Extremely dangerous for the safety of Black women -that white establishment figures can so casually, publicly incite hate & racial violence against Black women MPs and Black women - without legal or social consequences.

Yet, ‘anti-white racism’ is a thing. Sigh.

The Guardian Australia article Alana Lentin and I wrote on #SamKerr on the myth of 'anti-white racism' was published with a few important details missing in the published version - so here's our ORIGINAL version.

I co-wrote this piece with Assoc Prof Alana Lentin on the misconceived notion of ‘anti-white racism’ & ‘reverse racism’.

We articulate a deeper understanding of the function of race in a world still divided by the ‘colour line’ as W.E.B Dubois stated at turn of 20th Century.

Why does the Guardian lead with what Anderson thinks "the public" believe rather than about what it does based on more expert sources or what it could if the focus wasn't solely placed on far right issues?

This is what populist hype is in a nutshell

“To stand on German soil as the son of Holocaust survivors and call for a ceasefire – and to then be labelled as antisemitic is not only outrageous, it is also literally putting Jewish lives in danger,” Abraham told the Guardian.“
“An Israeli film-maker who won one of the top prizes at the Berlin film festival has said German officials’ description of the awards ceremony as “antisemitic” has led to death threats and the physical intimidation of family members.”

Her being far right is hardly mentioned and her plan to "expand Italian influence in Africa" not contextualised in this light at all

A couple more hours until the ICJ.

As the ICJ prepares to hand down provisional measures - it’s not just the reputation of int’l law which hangs in the balance - it’s also the very legitimacy of ICJ should it deviate from its jurisprudence without compelling justification.
