#NW my own film Garvey’s Ghost because the future Marcus Garvey imagined is still being built!

It's one of my favorite pieces to date because the message hasn’t aged a day, the work is still calling us.

Revisiting 'What My Mother Told Me as we enter GBV Month! #16Daysofactivism

I loved this shot, I was thinking about vulenrability, and how it’s so often misread when it comes from women.

I remember this still from What My Mother Told Me (1995).

We had no money, just a small crew, and a big story women weren’t “supposed” to tell!

Still feels surreal. We were young, broke, and figuring it out as we went. But we knew the story mattered.

Screened alongside Dreaming Rivers, an allegorical reflection on migration + matriarchy by Martina Attille. Both speak to the shared histories of displacement, cultural memory, and Caribbean motherhood. 🎬

Meela Learns to Swim! One lap at a time. I take her out daily to swim or walk, and seeing her progress brings me so much joy. Meela was rescued from the TTSPCA, where she was set to be euthanized for being "too aggressive." Thankfully, Sunnyview Vet gave her a second chance at life. #reasonstolive
