Shoko's nightmares are often her Grove burning in flames, or their guardian spirt - a giant Sakura tree - corrupted and turned black.
Before BG3 events, she defeated a group of enemies of her Grove, far from home, and then she couldn't come back. So she's always worried about Grove's condition.

I think Shoko would eat meat without problems. The meat is not normally part of the diet in her Grove and she is not used to hunt. But Shoko enjoys eating and if someone cooks meat, she will eat it willingly! After all, she respect the the natural order of things and that nothing is ever wasted.
