This resonates with my study on serious harm cases as there was a statistically significant difference in the proportion of cases that mentioned exclusion between cases mentioning missing children & those that didn’t. Almost all “missing” cases mentioned exploitation.

What disadvantages are there to a new researcher embracing both qual and quant approaches, other than perhaps specialising less on both & being more of a generalist? Does the academic system penalise this approach at all?
