Check out Valley Vet. Shipping is stuff, since it has to be sent overnight refrigerated. Please note that poultry vaccines are most effective when given at certain stages of a bird's life cycle. Expect at least two weeks for the birds to develop immunity before exposing them!

The doses available from manufacturers are intended for large operations -- 500 to 2000 doses in single bottle. Salmonella vaccination, bird flu vaccination, and many other poultry diseases are available, and done in other markets like the EU, but yannow, that'd cut into $ for companies in the US.

WHAT?! No!!!!

Yes, biosecurity for backyard flocks is very important. Songbirds are less likely to transmit bird flu, but can also carry fowl mites, mycoplasmas, and Salmonella. Also, with the way migration patterns are changing, I expect bird flu alerts to be a near-permanent, instead of seasonal, concern.

I'm keeping an ear out for the Sandhill Crane flocks, they seem to keep a pretty regular schedule despite the more extreme weather.
