And since Dayir's life is not a video game, there is no need for her to be fighting her way through the aetherial sea to reach the Mother. Any departed souls that still hold onto rancour they had towards her are repelled by her copious shielding and the solar luminosity of her aetheric being.

Most of the people that die in the game do not die in Dayir's story, so they're not to be found down there. They're up above, aiding her from the land of the living, or they're living out the second lease on life her intercession has granted them.

Dayir's living companions' aether acts as the dive line, keeping the connection between body & spirit from dissipating. And the souls of beloved departed rally around her as she dives, ensuring she does not falter, does not lose herself in the sea. Steppe clanmates, mentors, guardian spirits.

Dayir's shot in particular is bothering the hell out of me because I had once again forgotten her horns (she's an Au Ra built on a Viera model, essentially) and also I didn't have an upscale for that outfit but I wanted to include Sosiel, SO❗
