There was another public meeting on February 11 where the Community & Library Services Commission approved the plaque, our statement was sent to both the council and the commission ahead of both meetings. They voted to approve despite hundreds of calls, emails and public speakers opposing the plaque

Nurtured by pandemic habits, Huntington Beach Central's 'seed library' is sprouting new interest
Since the card catalog cabinet reopened its drawers in mid-March new crowds, likely inspired by a pandemic-related uptick in home gardening, have come to check out seeds.

The library is not MAGA, the Huntington Beach City Council are responsible for the MAGA plaque, the library has nothing to do with it and has no control over it.
