Some gameplay footage from the process of going from 0.2.0 to 0.3.0. I've posted this before, but might as well tack it on here. Heh.

Just feels weird to try to carry around the dev environment, dunno.

go fight the boss from the moment you get the key, because it's a randomizer. Hehe.

You can play it here. (Ignore the "c to connect to server", concept for a seed server eventually)

Hey, whatever works.

If it fits your needs and your complexity budget, it's good. :)

Everything's placeholder art, of course.

The idea is to create a system with a bunch of passes i can add and fiddle with to build up a tileset from a bare template to a usable tileset, or something close enough to usable that even someone with my egregious art skills can finish it.

You didn't say what kind of rain should happen? Oh, cool, it's gonna rain skeletons.

Did you say specifically say everything shouldn't be covered in lava? No? Gues what? Everything's covered in lava.

You have to be *specific* and *detailed* when instructing llms.

The best analogy I can give you for working with LLMs is to an old Minecraft Mod.

Mystcraft.

It let you build a dimension, as specifically, or as generically as you'd like, using a cute little DSL made out of runes.

But, anything you don't specify? Up for grabs.

Several times i found myself explaining things to the LLM in a way i wouldn't have been able to without years of experience.

Which makes it more amusing that I learned several random bits about JS development that I'd never needed to know before. (Still don't. wonder if i'll retain? Heh)

I know what you're thinking, "generative ai, yuck" but, this is a tool, for my hobby use, and the process of generating it was interesting and instructive.

To get an LLM to emit an entire, functioning application, where you've written *no code* that matches your required spec is not easy.
