The only way out is to make optimism a moral obligation

What makes it negative is when it ends there, when ego blocks cynicism from evolving you get stuck in a stupid loop where you leaving on your own past experiences

Cynicism is the next natural step when someone has their naivety broken, it’s not inherently negative.
