Been out cage diving with white sharks - so cool with Rodney Fox shark expeditions, a truly memorable 4 days with 5 dives to sea bottom in a cage ( to 25 m).

Excited to be going back to the Neptune Islands at the end of the month to dive to the seafloor inside a cage and see white sharks in their natural habitat
with the Rodney Fox Shark Expeditions. Will be speaking on board about the history of sharks!

Working in the field up at Mansfield, Victoria, Australia searching for Early Carboniferous fossils this week- got some nice trace fossil slabs for the local museum exhibit. Was a fun day working with a local team.

Lovely to find sulphur-crested cockatoos drinking at our backyard bird bath. Large ravens bathe here regularly too.

Fossil fish aren’t always flattened like kippers between rock layers- this 380 million year old placoderm fish from the famous Gogo sites in northern Australia was acid prepared by me out of the rock in perfect 3-D shape. It’s now the official state fossil emblem of Western Australia!
