I harvested my first tomatoes yesterday. Martino's Roma Tomatoes which I grew from seed. They're the only thing that I sprouted that's thrived. I cooked them in the air fryer and I'm working on saving their seeds. This is all a new experience for me and it's so exhilarating.

Your Prime Day reminder that half of Amazon warehouse workers struggle with food & housing costs.

A third have had to rely on government assistance like SNAP — which is about to get cut.

If Bezos can spend $50M on a wedding, Amazon can afford to treat its workers with dignity.

Can you spot the bee on the coneflower?
I spotted a firefly hanging around too.
There was a bumblebee but he bumbled away before I got a picture.
Not as many pollinators this year but some.

I found the perfect secondhand cabinet for making my #LittleFreeLibrary. It's basically a closed front dollhouse book case. We will weatherproof it and repaint it, and then mount it on a post.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court has struck down the state’s 176-year-old abortion ban. The court’s liberal majority ruled 4-3 on Wednesday that the ban is no longer valid because newer abortion restrictions superseded it.

Final vote. 50-50. VP breaks the tie.

One single GOP Senator could have stopped this abomination. Saved millions of parents from watching their child go hungry. Saved the lives destroyed when Medicaid disappears.

They will all live forever with the horror of this bill.

Do people still keep blogs? Readable blogs that others can follow and comment on? I'm so old I remember and miss the live journal community.

I'm shortly whittling down my social media apps. I uninstalled Snapchat and Facebook. Tiktok or IG might be next. I'm sick of the AI and chatgpt posts. I really hope @flashes.blue comes to Android soon.

Little Free Library has their charter signs on sale until tomorrow and I ordered one! We're going to build it from plans on their website and use recycled/repurposed material. It will be at our camp property which is off a dead end dirt road so it might not get many visitors, but I'm excited to see!
