Not trying to start a fight, but you stated he voted for Cuomo then deleted it after a few replies were articles on his Mamdani endorsement.
What’s the best way to correct the record? Don’t want misinfo to remain, but also probably worth a correction for those who read the initial post, no?

Do all these official government tweets get archived somewhere for posterity, or is that just something the White House Office of Digital Strategy did under Obama?
Because what a rich text for future generations to study. Assuming the nuclear EMP hasn’t made all computers inoperable by then.

Harrell is now at 116,435 vs Wilson's 112,135. Wilson got over 5k more new votes than Harrell today, and today's ballot drop is less than half of the outstanding vote. So a similar margin in the remainder would have Wilson narrowly pull ahead.
Happy Friday of Election Week! We expect to post around 100,000 ballots in today’s results update. That will leave around 120,000 ballots left to count, so we’ll have a large number to post on Monday, too.

Well. That's not a shift to Wilson. She did lose ground on one day of the primary count, but needs something dramatic now.
90k to 100k votes left, Wilson trails by 11,183. She needs at least 55% of the remaining votes.

That said, while I wouldn't make any strong assumptions yet, Wilson did not gain ground today like many had hoped or expected given the trends in the primary counting. [4/n]

It's still too early to say anything definitive. With higher turnout in the general than the primary, counting might take longer and thus any shift in vote composition might not be apparent for a couple more days. [3/n]

Even looked at in terms of percentages, Harrell's margin among the newly counted votes on day 2 was larger than day 1, whereas in the primary Wilson started with a small daily margin that grew larger throughout the counting process. [2/n]

Love that it’s more of the identical gold appliqués above the exterior door as inside the oval office on the walls and fireplace.
They must have bought these by the dozen, just slapping them on every surface in different orientations. Dying to know if they just spraypainted these foam ones gold.

In the primary, it wasn’t really until Friday that the gap in % counted for each candidate really started to close. With higher turnout in the general, it might be slower.
Which is another way of saying that the bulk of Wilson's advantage came in later in the vote tabulating process. On election night only 45% of her eventual votes were counted, compared to 54% of Harrell's. That gap stayed pretty large until about the 4th day of counting (Friday). [3/n]

Thanks for pulling this together! Inspired me to make a couple charts as well:
The Seattle mayoral election will be a nailbiter for sure. Incumbent Bruce Harrell is currently up 62k votes to challenger Katie Wilson's nearly 54k.
But as is typical for Seattle and its mail-in ballot reporting (there is no in-person voting in WA state), that leaves a lot of uncertainty. [1/n]

Another way to look at it is net new votes per day of counting. Here you can see how much the vote broke towards Wilson later in the process. [6/n]

Props to @katherinemitchell.bsky.social for her original post which inspired me to grab the data:
Here's a look at the raw numbers in the Seattle mayoral contest, with 2021 for scale. Harrell has lost a lot of ground from his 2021 win.
Wilson gained 17,221 votes more than Harrell between the primary and general. That would be more than enough to eliminate the 8,319 vote gap here.

I'll update with more data from kingcounty.gov/en/dept/elec... as it gets posted over the coming week. Without precinct level data, take everything with a huge grain of salt. But the election definitely isn't over yet. [5/n]

*If* a similar pattern holds in the general, that would extrapolate out to Wilson ending up with 119k votes and Harrell with 115k. But obviously TONS of uncertainty here. Will be an interesting few days to watch. [4/n]

In the August Primary, Wilson started with a slight lead, beating Harrell 44,457 to 43,160 votes in the first night results (August 5), which she then widened substantially to an 18k margin (98,479 to 79,984) by the time results were finalized. [2/n]
