Play around with the location of the router. For me that wasn't really an option, so I got a little extender. The issue is just one bedroom that is a tad too far, the extender worked beautifully! (And they're pretty cheap).

It's more perverse when it's in an apparently easy piece of code. And the readability is such that it appears to be correct, and you would never think the issue could be there. Ever. Finding it means running the code line by line and then going OMG, that should be a <= and not a <. FFS.
