Ahh I love that part of Spain. I spent 3 weeks near Valencia outside of Denia in Benitatxell with the fam and was hill running and heat training.

Such a great place

Love running in Spain - what part are you in? Looks to be in the north?

Yea nothing like that question with each step you ask - “will the grass hold”…

People who think rocky decents are tricky have never run fells/boglands before where each step is like a a dice roll

The best adventures end up being the ones we most regret signing up for

It will happen to all of us - at least you got yours out of the way. Hope you’re ok

That’s interesting - my resting hr didn’t change as much as the other metrics

I guess Hollywood isn’t going to do anything worse than what is already happening as a byproduct of the rapid growth and commercialisation of elements of the sport.

But ugh - the storyline, I can’t imagine it’s goi g to be good

That’s amazing!

The course is hard enough but I don’t think most realize how fucking hard it is to find the pages.

If you know the secret process for the application I’m game for a go

I’d be happy to be the sacrificial virgin of the year

even one lap would feel like a lifetime achievement

I want his watch. Mine currently thinks I’m dead and tells me I need an extra 5000 hours sleep today

Rough news sry to hear. What does that look like in terms of recovery time?

The actual running bit of running is like the tiniest part of running…

Would love to see that gate! That’s one of those races where part of me would really love to have a go and the other part just shakes its head…
November 6, 2025 at 10:28 PM
Ahh man sorry I missed this - would have totally sent you messages on the trail. I had friends and workmates sending me them in my ultra and tjere were some difficult moments where a message came in like a ray of sunshine!!!

Amazing accomplishment and a well earned buckle!!!!

Woohoo amazing
November 6, 2025 at 10:21 PM
It sure how I feel about this.
November 6, 2025 at 10:16 PM
Yea had that same feeling. Sort of a “ok what now” and “why” feeling.

Turns out it’s common in endurance athletes I’m told? Harmless but quite scary

“a sudden stop in training can drop vagal tone and shift the balance toward sympathetic dominance. The heart, used to steady parasympathetic input, becomes more sensitive and irritable leading to skipped beats.”

Crazy
