2. On self contained events - pack enough gel for longer than you plan on running

Ran extra 6.8 miles as the lads I was chatting with went wrong at mile 35
Only just made the cutoff because of it

My hardest local trail loop is 12.8mi - so I setup a little “aid station” at my house and did 3 laps
Promised myself hr < 138 no matter what

Blood pressure quite low and feeling wiped out but not worn out if that makes sense
Physio says I’m “vasodialated” from the high temps I was running in and should be better in a couple days
