Those darn broccoli florets are still causing trouble, hiding in our freezers, threatening us with illness and death from listeria. How did the FDA find out so late/too late? A random food sampling by Texas HHS. Will food safety diminish even more under the new admin?

I posted about Walmart's Marketside Broccoli Florets a while back due to a possible Listeria contamination. FDA just upped the risk to HIGH: a very serious risk of death. Yikes. Off the market now, they were sold in 20 states. So check your freezer.

I posted about Walmart's Marketside Broccoli Florets a while back due to a possible Listeria contamination. FDA just upped the risk to HIGH: a very serious risk of death. Yikes. Off the market now, they were sold in 20 states. So check your freezer.

Don't eat broccoli florets from Walmart if they are the Braga Fresh "Marketside" brand. Why? Listeria contamination. That foodborne invader can cause serious gastro symptoms but may take weeks after eating to hit.
