Active severe weather day today from the Upper Midwest to the southern Plains. A level 4 of 5 risk is expected across parts of IA/MN/WI. Strong tornadoes, hail greater than 2 inches and swaths of damaging winds expected.

Very impressive for the Pacific NW!
Quite the hurricane-force low of the Pacific Northwest this morning. The lowest pressure was 942 mb at 03 UTC with winds near 80 mph and significant waves to 39 ft!!!
