We still have a few tasks to complete, but we've opened the doors and have been welcoming in some lovely visitors today. Hopefully will be business as usual by the end of the week!

I have a growing obsession with pocket decks at the moment and I think my favourite so far has to be this Forest Fae mini oracle deck. I just LOVE the illustrations 😍 they take me into a world I want to live in... 🌿🌱🍃

The full moon peaks just before 7am tomorrow, so tonight is the night to place your crystals outside to moon-bathe. Honestly, if it wasn't near freezing, I'd have joined them!

I am very pleased with the test burn from my recent batch of firelighters. Being made with waste materials from our workshop, there is a certain amount of variation from batch to batch, so I like to burn one from each to check that they're still up to standard. #handmade

It's a making day here at F&R central. Keen to open with enough stock made and available to allow me some breathing space for a couple of months!

We are still awaiting confirmation of our opening day, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed it will be just this side of Easter.

Yesterday, I picked up the top half of a Welsh dresser, which will make its way into our tiny new shop for display.

Preparing flowers in the sunshine 🌞 makes it feel so much more like Spring 🌿

I'm a little obsessed with the colours in this Apricot Statice we've just received from our botanicals supplier LSF. Some of it will find its way into our firelighters and wax melts, but I'm going to have to make some little miniature bouquets. 🧵

Reconnecting with nature at Wicken Fen this week. It's been cold, but so worth getting out for. Winter landscapes are so rewarding.

The darkest days of January are behind us as we welcome the blossom and new hope of Springtime.

🌸 Early blossoms have been appearing in sheltered places.

Cherry Blossom represents rebirth & new beginnings ~ however ~ their short-lived blooms also remind us that nothing lasts forever. In everything, there must be balance.

The cycle repeats with frequency, but the world around us goes on 🌸

I went for a walk in the cemetery this morning and was delighted to find many clumps of snowdrops! I just love the first flowers of the year; it reminds me that warmer months are not far off!

We heard today that the shop we wanted is ours if we still want to go ahead!! It's a big yes and we are just waiting to hear when it's vacant and ready from 🤞
