There’s a faint flash and contact ping, but it’s quite subtle and bosses don’t react to getting shot, they just eventually transition to their next phase. There’s basically an absolute bare minimum of feedback that you’re doing damage, and that’s it.

Honestly, based on the replies, I think it's pretty common, but most people who feel that way bounce off *extremely* quickly because they don't want to be the one trying to convince others they found the controls less than instinctive, esp. after everyone crucified a journo for not gitting gud.

Yeah, I tried a couple different keyboard configurations, but I was doing leagues worse, couldn't beat a single boss.

I'd say it's smooth in the sense that it's extremely precise and responsive, but jumps are a commitment and the difference between a jump and high jump is both visually very sleight and absolutely critical to master because the boss platforming is unforgiving.

I kinda feel like I'm fighting the controls, jumping feels weird, maybe it's a compatibility issue with Steam Input and a DualSense?

I really enjoy watching people play it, but when I play it the game feel is just off.
