Yes. Language is heritage and we speak English. 28% of English comes from Latin, much of it via French. Ancient Romans spoke Latin and the Latin varied as to where they lived. The Catholic Church has mostly cut out the use of Latin other than some terminology because very few understood it.

Actually both my daughters are doctors and I was a Spanish teacher. Latin terms in medical jargon are used in many, many languages, not just American English. I am also fluent in Italian. Yours is a very ethnocentric comment. It’s not all about the USA.
