I love this Toucan caught mid-hop - La Fortuna, Costa Rica
A Keel-billed Toucan, a mostly black bird with a yellow face and neck, caught mid-hop from one part of a thick branch to it's left, feet still stretched out to the lower right, while its massive colorful bill leads the way on the left. Its red eyes are tiny but filled with joy

Finished the first book of the year - an old one from 1999, and it did not age well, a lot of techno-optimism that doesn’t read well after 21st century’s tech record, also muddled plot and characters that disappear before their story seems done. Can’t recommend it
