The conspiracy posting by Ezra Levin is WILD. I am beyond disappointed in Kaine and Durbin, but Levin is conspiracy theorizing about everyone... except Fetterman or Republicans.

Yeah I was looking over my posts from before the shutdown and in one of them I was saying that maybe the best outcome would be proving once and for all that people will smear Democrats even if they try but then fail.

IMO dems should have held out, and I’m mad they didn’t. But that’s almost entirely because I think it *might* have forced Rs to kill the filibuster, which I think would’ve been a very good thing. I don’t think the subsidies were realistically getting saved, and I think Rs will probably pay a price.

The only plausible scenario I see is a replacement who winds up largely doing and saying the same things as Schumer along with a political cost of the Democrats looking weak for shucking their leadership.

I think we're better off with him continuing to eat shit for his members. They simply can't get any real political wins right now regardless, so whoever replaces him will get pooped on just as much for no real benefit. I could see him holding on until the Dems win back the House.
