Literally the only thing I know about Gary Numan is that he is exactly two weeks older than Gary Oldman.

And while they keep arranging to forget history, everyone will have to "be the first" because nobody is allowed to remember. Cunning - but then, nobody said racists were stupid.

Regrettably, scientific resources that could be dedicated to this most worthy study have been depleted due to the earlier attempt to confirm that one could, in the Navy, sail precisely seven seas.

Huh. I remember I got a bunch of them (yes, in the mail) a while ago, but I haven't seen them in years. Makes me suspect there's only one person or group doing all of them, and they kind of change the direction of the firehose regularly.

Presumably so that friendless virgins can accuse you of lying about your cup size? I mean, that's what the internet is for, isn't it?

The Deeper Meaning Of Liff defines Screggan as (from memory) the scribbled out bit in the date on cheques all through January when you keep putting the wrong year. We don't do cheques any more, but the screggan lives on.

I used to call the year 2000 "Anno Scregganus" but it never really caught on.

Damn shame. Oh well, as long as you get Bruce Boxleitner to play Kolhammer... [checks Wikipedia] dangit! 75? Thats way to old!

Ok, I got nothin'.

Nice! So what I want to know is: are they more likely to go with the alternate 2021 (twenty years of war, ship named after assassinated wartime president Hillary Clinton, Prince Harry as a single man, etc) or will it get bumped forward a bit and have a few of those details adjusted?

Meanwhile, I'm giving the original Axis Of Time trilogy another listen. Gritting my teeth through some truly Nuremburg-worthy accents, but never mind that. Where are we at with the live-action (what old people call "TV") version?

Probably a great relief to the cabin boys if so.

Not like those butch, manly radio jocks!

And they can sing! Celia Rose Gooding (Uhura) is particularly impressive, and she needs to record more. But yes, definitely the most stupidly gorgeous crew in Starfleet.

Just once, I would have liked the moderators or comperes or whatever they were called on that program to say "I'll take that as an intemperate, spittle-flecked rant".

What I'd like to know is: why did it take a "radical leftist" Labor government to change things so that Australia no longer had a fucking COLONY??? And why do we not continue to hammer the Liberal Party for never making that blindingly obvious change?

The way one Tamil/Singaporean friend of mine tells it, some Indian and Chinese people can be so racist, the US Republicans should sue them for copyright infringement.
September 13, 2025 at 2:41 PM
Oh dear. Did someone make the mistake of thinking that an electoral campaign is the ideal time to let the world see their real self? Bad idea!

It's a Guardian article though, so are we sure they think he's the villain?

Whirlpool still exists? Huh. I knew it because all of my clients with FTTN have the same experience. Fixed wireless, in contrast, is now quite good.

Not manflu! We call it "cerebrogenic androvirus".

She means well; she tries hard; she fails dismally.

I prefer to keep it within the species.

Spoken like a city boy. Or platypus, whatever. A city monotreme!
