What's been done to those cis women isn't just "degendering", it's an attempt to call them dangerous freaks. There's a very gendered angle here.

It's why they call trans women "men in women's spaces", trans men "misled girls", and nonbinary folks an "agenda".

Our existence threatens their power.

I mean, it's not *just* trans women, but yeah, trans women end up being the scary example because we threaten the boundaries of womanhood to those who police it from the outside. And yes, this policing has always been a part of racial and colonial frameworks of supremacy as well as patriarchal ones.

Oh of course not. It's all just a new way to slur us. Even when it's applied to cis women it's *about* us. This is why transphobia (and the supremacy of an assumed sex and gender binary more broadly) is harmful to *everyone*.

I mean, yeah. Saying things like AFAB or AMAB (assigned female/male at birth) respectively are more accurate, and also capture how intersex folks are shoved into a gender box from the moment of their birth.

"Name assigned at birth" would also be more accurate, but as you said, that's not the point.

Omg that looks amazing! I haven't had ethiopian food in so long but the flavors are great and the injera brings everything together 😋

It's okay to feel things deeply, even if it's sad things. Take the time you need to process, then figure out what comes next. ♡

I don't want to limit myself or anyone else. I want to create space for all kinds of femininity, and recognize the possibilities of what it means to look femme I see in others.

Most of all, girlies, I never want to tell you what you need to look like to "pass".

Why pass when you can exceed? ♡

Just pointing out that flapper, an iconic 20s look that reads today as high femme, was criticized in its time for looking "too boyish".

I don't have qualms with personal taste if folks enjoy conventional looks but is this what we want to teach others? That this is all femininity is? All it can be?
